Malad Bowl Wraps Up 2025–2026 League Season

The pins have finally stopped falling for the 2025–2026 Malad USBC Association season, and the results are in after another exciting year at Malad Bowl. With league nights running from September through April, bowlers across the valley came together twice a week to compete for top honors—and bragging rights.

KC Oil Repeats as Thursday Night Champs
KC Oil captured the championship title for the second consecutive year in the Thursday Night Dennis Thomas League. Hubcap Lounge finished close behind in second place, followed by Nikity Nacs in third, Arrowhead Cabinets in fourth, and Malad Gun Club rounding out the top five. Chat & Chew, Diamond Bar Ranch, and Dude Ranch Café placed sixth through eighth, respectively.
League high scores were impressive this season. Marty Hill claimed the Men’s High Game Scratch with a 279, while Diane Williams led the women with a 234. High Series Scratch honors went to Scott Searle with a 704 and Diane Williams with a 582.

Hotel Malad Wins Tuesday League Title
On Tuesday nights, Hotel Malad dominated the Tuesday Pin Poppers League, coming out on top for the season. Snips took second, followed by American Legion B Team, Nell Redfield Hospital, and Malad Rock Products. Ward’s ACE, Diamond H Ranch, and JR Racing completed the standings.
The Tuesday league saw standout performances from many bowlers. Marty Hill once again topped the Men’s High Game Scratch with a 267, and Julie Green led the women with a 237. High Scratch Series went to Scott Searle with a 705 and Sara Sidwell with a 584.
Bowlers of the Month and Year-End Competition
Each month, Malad Bowl recognizes one male and one female bowler for exceptional performance. Those monthly winners compete at season’s end for the Bowler of the Year honor.
This season’s bowlers of the month were:
• October: Tyler Smith and Diane Williams
• November: Scott Searle and Sara Sidwell
• December: Nathan Williams and Tammy Braegger
• January: Derrick Tripp and Lana Tripp
• February: Rick Giordano and Deziree Smith
• March: Danny Smith and Shelly Williams

With strong participation and outstanding sportsmanship across all teams, the Malad USBC Association wrapped up another successful season of strikes, spares, and friendly competition. Bowlers are already looking ahead to September, when the lanes come alive once again for the start of the 2026–2027 season.
