Malad FFA at State Convention

Malad's FFA students
The Malad FFA chapter had the opportunity to attend the 96th Idaho State FFA Convention this past week. They had many outstanding achievements, highlighting the dedication and talents of members across multiple events.

BreElle Ferree, Kambrea Higley, Aubrey Shulz, Paislee Davis, and Kelty Thomas
A major highlight of the convention was the recognition of several students who earned their Idaho State FFA Degree, one of the highest degrees given at the state level. BreElle Ferree, Kelty Thomas, Aubrey Shulz, Kambrea Higley, Paislee Davis, and Carter Smith were all awarded this degree, reflecting their commitment to agricultural education, leadership, and supervised agricultural experiences.
Malad FFA members also demonstrated strong performances in Career Development Events.
Teams competed in Livestock Judging, Floriculture, Agriculture Education, and Horse Judging.
They represented the chapter well, showcasing their knowledge and practical skills in agriculture-related fields.

BreElle Ferree, 5th place in Ag Education CDE.
Individually, BreElle Ferree earned 5th place in the state in Agricultural Education, an impressive accomplishment in a hands-on teaching competition.
The chapter’s scrapbook was another major success, earning gold and taking first place in the State. This scrapbook highlights the chapter’s ability to effectively document and present its activities, leadership efforts, and community involvement throughout the year.
Additionally, Lyndee Nimer competed in Extemporaneous Public Speaking, demonstrating
strong communication skills and the ability to think critically on agricultural topics.
Overall, the Malad FFA chapter’s performance at the state convention reflects a year of hard work, leadership, and dedication.
